After hosting our Scrap Kit Club in Moscow yesterday, Shawna and I took off down the hill to go "junkin!" First stop was the huge indoor flea market at the Lewiston Fairgrounds. I did not find anything here, but Shawna did! She found a wooden printers tray for $25 bucks, lots of pins and buttons for Katrina and a new book. The printers tray she got was marked down from $50. I found a printers tray 17 years ago for $25 so she got a really good deal. I think we might try to alter ours into a photo display of some kind. If anyone has done this before or has seen one online let us know ok?
After the flea market, we stopped at Honks $1.05 as recommended by Wendy! Oh my gosh! If you love dollar stores, then you would be in HEAVEN at this one! It is huge! We kept ourselves under control and our purchases were under $20 bucks, but I could see how this dollar store could turn into the "50 dollar store" very easily!
We then headed over for a little scrapbook fix at Crop Paper Scissors and got to visit with Jan and Kristi. I don't get to go visit them very often and it was nice to see that they both were in the store. We found some fun papers and rub ons to add to our stash! Kristi recommended Fazzari's for lunch - the baked parmesan rotelle and cheesy bread to be exact - and it was yummy!
Our last stop of the day was to our favorite store of all time...The Hanger! We got there around 3:o0 or so and had to be kicked out at closing time! I could spend hours in this antique mall and never see it all! We were on the hunt for all things RED for Shawna and found some really good deals! I'm sure she will tell you all about them on her blog. I got her a really cool ice crusher from the 40's or 50's! She is going to do her new kitchen in red, white and vintage! I love it!
I found a new Hall teapot to add to my collection for $10! It's lid had been cracked and glued back, but you can't even tell! I have been collecting Hall teapots, refridegerator ware and water pitchers since we got married. I also got a new green vase (thanks Shawna!) for $8, a really cute music box that works for $1 and I could not resist a set of owl salt n' pepper shakers with googly eyes!!
We had such a great time and I am so lucky to have a friend like Shawna to do it with!
How cool! I always want to go to the big indoor yard sale but haven't yet...it seems cool! Looks like you both scored some cool vintage stuff!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that sounds like so much fun! Josh and I went to www.geocaching.com it has all the GPS coordinates for this area and all others from around the world. We have done a lot in this area our caching name is powersfamily. We love it b/c the only cost is a GPS. Cheap entertainment for our family
