Ryan has a new job. He is working at an assisted living center here in Moscow, Good Samaritan. He works in the kitchen, and a whole lot more. He serves drinks and meals to residents, brings food carts to other parts of the complex, and cleans up in the kitchen. He needs to learn and know all the residents names and special diets. Its a pretty great job, he works around people with special needs and serves them, I think he has a great personality and demeanor for this setting. He is working 5 days a week so far, split between week days and weekend days. Typically from 5p until 8p. He rides his bike to and from work, its pretty close to home actually, down by the pool for those of you who have been to Moscow.
Ryan had a health issue this past month, a couple actually. He had a sharp pain in his side, although initially thought to be appendicitis it was later thought, but not confirmed even after 2 cat scans, to be kidney stones. We need to wait for the pain to come back, unfortunately, for more tests. They found that his blood pressure was quite high also. He is on high blood pressure medication, and needs to lose some weight. Its so hard to push him to lose weight when neither Karen and I are especially active. All we can do is provide encouragement, for now.
Another end of semester coming up, and that means that Ryan is almost done with his Sophmore year. He'll be a Junior this fall, believe it or not, wow.
Ryan still has a lot of friends, is still very active with them and is still an awesome kid! ;-)
