American Idol Let Down...

I am not loving this Season of American Idol at all! I know they get better each week as they practice and gain experience, but it has been really bad. Who do you like? Dislike? Here are my favorite two - I think they will make it till the end.

Ramiele Malubay is my top girl. She has a
really "soulfull" voice.

David Archuleta is my favorite guy to win. He is only 16 or 17, but has such a good voice and is such a nice kid.

Junkin' with Shawna!

After hosting our Scrap Kit Club in Moscow yesterday, Shawna and I took off down the hill to go "junkin!" First stop was the huge indoor flea market at the Lewiston Fairgrounds. I did not find anything here, but Shawna did! She found a wooden printers tray for $25 bucks, lots of pins and buttons for Katrina and a new book. The printers tray she got was marked down from $50. I found a printers tray 17 years ago for $25 so she got a really good deal. I think we might try to alter ours into a photo display of some kind. If anyone has done this before or has seen one online let us know ok?

After the flea market, we stopped at Honks $1.05 as recommended by Wendy! Oh my gosh! If you love dollar stores, then you would be in HEAVEN at this one! It is huge! We kept ourselves under control and our purchases were under $20 bucks, but I could see how this dollar store could turn into the "50 dollar store" very easily!

We then headed over for a little scrapbook fix at Crop Paper Scissors and got to visit with Jan and Kristi. I don't get to go visit them very often and it was nice to see that they both were in the store. We found some fun papers and rub ons to add to our stash! Kristi recommended Fazzari's for lunch - the baked parmesan rotelle and cheesy bread to be exact - and it was yummy!

Our last stop of the day was to our favorite store of all time...The Hanger! We got there around 3:o0 or so and had to be kicked out at closing time! I could spend hours in this antique mall and never see it all! We were on the hunt for all things RED for Shawna and found some really good deals! I'm sure she will tell you all about them on her blog. I got her a really cool ice crusher from the 40's or 50's! She is going to do her new kitchen in red, white and vintage! I love it!

I found a new Hall teapot to add to my collection for $10! It's lid had been cracked and glued back, but you can't even tell! I have been collecting Hall teapots, refridegerator ware and water pitchers since we got married. I also got a new green vase (thanks Shawna!) for $8, a really cute music box that works for $1 and I could not resist a set of owl salt n' pepper shakers with googly eyes!!

We had such a great time and I am so lucky to have a friend like Shawna to do it with!

Sudoku Addiction

No, I don't have sudoku toilet paper, but I like the idea! Dave and I are sudoku addicts. We go to bed each night with our own puzzle books and pencils and fall asleep with numbers floating around in our heads! I love games and puzzles but have never been any good at them. My vocabulary sucks, so I could never do crossword puzzles but, I was always rocked word search! So when Dave showed me how easy sudoku was and that it had nothing to do with "math" in anyway I was thrilled. He bought me my own little puzzle book and I jumped right in. Now I have moved on from the easy puzzles to the medium and hard! Shawna even added to my addiction by getting me the "Mega Puzzle Book of Sudoku" the other day - it has over 1000 puzzles in it.

Searching the net last night I found lots of great blogs dedicated to sudoku with lots of tips and hints and some sites where you can play online. I might try that next!

Happy Anniversary Dave!

Dave and I celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary today! It is hard to believe it has been that long! We met in Klamath Falls, OR (my home town) the summer of 1986. Dave was in the Air Force and stationed out of Mt. Home AFB. His flight crew came to Klamath Falls to work out of our airport that summer and were staying in the dorms at the college I worked at. We spent the whole summer together and after he went back to Idaho we had a long distance (8 hour drive) courtship! Dave and I were engaged 7 months after we met and were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Klamath Falls on February 14, 1987. I was only 20 and Dave was 23 - we were so young! I love him very much and can't wait for the next 21 years!

Yes we can...

Dave and I have never been overly political, but we are really impressed with Barack Obama and all that he stands for. So, tonight we went to the Latah County Fairgrounds and took part in our first caucus. It was really crowded and hot, but a lot of fun. Obama won the Latah County Caucus. It was neat to see such a diverse group of people show up and show their support. We also made the LA Times!

Came accross this great music video and wanted to share!
