Ingrid Michaelson - Breakable
Found another great artist, Ingrid Michaelson, while surfing the web. I love this song and the images put to the words gives me goosebumps. She also sings one of my new favorite songs, The Way I Am (it is on those Old Navy commercials) Enjoy!

New Season of Project Runway
I was so excited to see that the new season of Project Runway started last night. I am a big fan of this show and have watched all 3 prior seasons. It's funny that I like this show so much since I am NOT into fashion at all, but I think I love the creative spirit of the designers and would love to be a photographer, artist or designer in another life!I LOVED Jay from the first season. He was so fun to watch and his designs were so cool. I was impressed with how he looked at life and where he came from.
Last night's episode introduced us to all of the new designers. I already have a few favorites!November 11, 2007
I'm in LOVE!
I'm in love with Sondre Lerche! The girls from Red Velvet had him listed on their blog and I thought, "oh my, he is really cute!' Then I went to his website and started listening to his songs and now I'm hooked! I have been playing the same songs over and over again. Dave and Ryan think I have lost it! But, I told them - "Hey! He is Norwegian! Dave (my hubby) is 1/2 Norwegian, so I guess I just have something for those Norsky boys - Umpah!"Anyway, getting his CD tomorrow. He has tons of songs in the new Steve Carell Movie, Dan in Real Life.

What a week...
Well another week has BLOWN by! I can't get over how the days fly by. Here is the break down!
Monday: Worked at the Moscow store till 6:30, then came home to hang out with Ryan and Dave. We watched our new favorite show Heroes.
Tuesday: After work, I came home and made a nice dinner. Jared came by and joined us for dinner. We don't see much of him since he moved out with a couple of friends.
Wednesday: Shawna and I hosted a scrapbook party for the girls at Chi Omega at Washington State University on Wednesday night. After the party, Shawna and I went out for dinner at "Thai Ginger" a great new Thai restaurant in Pullman. LOVED the avocado rolls!
Thursday: I taught my yearly "12 Tags of Christmas" class to 15 wonderful ladies on Tuesday night. It was so fun to find out that several of the ladies have taken this class from me the past 4 years! I did not get home until 10pm - and of course I had to stay up and watch Grey's Anatomy - it was a long day!
Friday: Crazy busy day at the Moscow store, with two wedding appointments and lots of customers I was wishing I was not working alone that day! Got my eyebrows waxed from Nicole - right in the store! Love having her come to me, can you say "spoiled!" Came home and had Pizza with the boys - we LOVE the new Dominoes crispy melts pizza they have out right now!
Today, we had Scrap Kit Club at the Pullman store and 15 of the 18 members came! It was so much fun to have that many ladies all sharing their scrapbook pages with each other. Shawna has a great group of gals! It was also Dad's weekend for WSU, so we were pretty busy all day with all of the Mom's who tagged along, coming in to shop. Stopped at Hastings on the way home and picked up a couple of movies to watch on Sunday while I fold laundry!
Tomorrow is my only day off this week, so I plan to hang out in my pajamas all day, watch movies (Shawna is bringing over Fiddler on the Roof) do laundry and make a wonderful dinner for the guys! Then I will start all over again on Monday!

Scrapped!
I scrapbooked with Shawna last night and made a few pages and this really fun clear album of my sister and I. It was so much fun, can't wait to make more!
I used the new clear albums we have at the stores, I made this one with the 8x8 tab album. I used white staz on, clear stamps, rubons and lots of scraps!

Sunday Scribblings Prompt: Money
Sunday Scribblings
Money! Oh my can I write about that! I have tendencies to be a "bit" compulsive at times and that trait can be a real issue when it comes to money. I am a doer, a go getter, a "if I want it now then I will get it now" type of person. I think I got that from my Dad. My Dad, who I love so much, would just buy it if he wanted it! I think growing up we had a different car or truck every month! No, just kidding, maybe every a 6 months. My Dad worked hard for his money, and I think I got my work ethic from him and my Mom. They both worked their whole lives. My Dad was a lineman for the power company in southern Oregon. He would work hours of overtime each month to provide for our family and to make those truck payments! Growing up, I never felt like we were poor or rich, we were pretty much middle class.
My childhood was a complete opposite of my Dads. He was the oldest of 8 brothers and sisters and grew up in Chicago. He dropped out of school and started working at the age of 14 or so. He had to work to support his family and kept on working his whole life. I think his spending habits, that I have inherited, developed from those times in his life when he had nothing. When he had a family of his own, he made sure we always had what we needed and what we wanted. It was one of the ways he showed us that he loved us. I learned at a young age that if I wanted something I had to work for it. Whether it be chores around the house, babysitting jobs or one of the many part-time jobs I worked - if I wanted something I could have it - but you had to work for it.
One of these days, I am going to sit down and write a list of all of the jobs I have had in my life. I started babysitting and house sitting when I was 12 or 13. My first "real" job was working at a pizza parlor making pizza's when I was in High School. I have worked a ton of waitress/food service jobs - from McDonalds to a truck stop cafe, I know I can always make a dime dishin' out chow! I have worked on a horse farm, driven a fork lift in a warehouse, cleaned houses and offices and counted inventory in grocery stores. I have worked in several offices; been a medical secretary, a medical coder and an office manager. I ran a day care out of my home, worked as a stew on a yacht, sold Stampin' Up stamps, helped cook for a sorority and now own my own businesses. I have worked in several states; Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Wisconsin, Georgia and Alaska. Again, can you say "impulsive!" If anything, I know that I can and will be able to support my family, just like my Dad, no matter what type of job I have to get to do it!
So, even though I may not be the best at saving money or managing money, I am not afraid of making money and am one of the hardest working woman out there!
